Description

My traditional Super Bowl Speed painting. Actually made it in with a minute to spare on the clock. Awesome.

Thane wound up being one of my favorite characters in Mass Effect 2. I liked his entire story. The way he met his wife. His quest for atonement, and the relationship with his son was just so well done. That whole "you're the only good thing I ever put in it." made me manly tear a bit. I hope that he has an awesome sacrificial moment in Mass Effect 3 (if he survived 2 that is) Dealing with the final stages of his disease could be compelling in its own right.

Edit adjusted saturation, lightness, contrast, and brightness because the colors, darkness, and saturation were hurting my eyes

I think there should be a comic about how he got revenge for his wife. Would basically be the punisher in space. Shit would rock, and it would end with the final guy giving him the disease he has. informing him that he has the disease he has. Perhaps even implying that a cure would be available if only Thane would let him live. Then Thane kills him.

Sober Edit: OK, as some of you may know, I am on painkillers because of surgery. Basically, half the day, I'm intoxicated.

When I made the original, which I'll post in scraps, I thought it was fantastic. I even thought for a second, "Wow, maybe being intoxicated does make you better at certain things." However, I looked at it today before taking my meds and noticed all of the crap that needed fixing.

Anyone that says being intoxicated makes them better at something should be beaten with a baseball bat for being so stupid. I mean, there are people who say, "I drive better when I'm drunk." At best, they endanger people and at worst they kill people with this attitude. (Which is why they need the beating.) Drugs alter perception. Anything that requires any amount of perceptual accuracy such as driving, art, or videogames, requires a clear head to be done well. If you say otherwise, you are fooling yourself.

Now I'm going to take my meds and laugh as someone invariably tries to disagree with this factual statement. :pills:
