After my last deviation, [link] which was done from memory, I found a turnaround sheet for Korra. It was kind of terrible because it was a cam pic of a projection, but even with the poor quality it showed me a lot of things I got wrong.

So I just had to give it another go. Especially considering that the official work is much more "HNNG" than my work. But I wanted to try to do an action pose instead of a sexy pose just to mix things up.

Pin-Up work of Korra is forth coming, just... give me time.

There was originally more to this pose with extremely foreshortened legs, but they weren't working for me so I cropped them out. If you're interested to see what I was going to do, the sketches are on my blog.

I really like your style, it suits Korra perfectly here. I've been trying to draw LoK fanart for a couple weeks now, so far so bad.

Hm, and this I do like a lot better. At the same time, without the little bit of fringe from her bangs, she looks a bit like how you do Katara. Also, from what I've seen the skin tone was pretty accurate in the last picture.

Mostly her face, and the colors. Generally, everything else was alright. But the face and her skin tone... she looks like Sokka in drag. I'm cool with people liking it and everything. But I need to be better.

well i just suggjested that her face deforms a bit because of that "cartoony" smile. i mean it happen in avatar often and besides that bryke said one they couldnt design a complete new faces for every character due animation and stuff. so if she sometimes has a sokka smily face i think its allright.
